A brief history of the changes that took place . . .
Beginning with volume 13, Baywood Publishing announced the Journal of Individual Employment Rights will now be
known as the Journal of Workplace Rights.
JWR, guided by editor Joel Rudin, will be dedicated to the proposition that
human rights should not be compromised by employers. It uses an expansive definition of human rights, based on the Universal
Declaration of Human Rights passed by the United Nations in 1948. Some human rights are explicitly employment-related; other
human rights are recognized in the Universal Declaration with respect to governments, but these rights are hollow if employers
are allowed to violate them. Essentially, the Journal focuses on all human rights that can be affected by the
employment relationship.

Journal of Individual Employment Rights is a peer refereed journal.
