The Applied Fire Science in Transition series consists of four monographs dealing in areas of interest to
fire protection engineers and others concerned with the solution of current problems in fire safety analysis and design.
Each volume includes a number of papers which have appeared in the Journal of Applied Fire Science and which have been written by world

Paul R. DeCicco brings to Applied Fire Science in Transition
his experience in fire research and its applications to fire protection
technology. His work in full-scale fire testing of commercial and residential
buildings, conducted for the New York Fire Department, has been widely
published and used in the development of building and fire codes throughout
the United States and abroad. DeCicco is Executive Editor of the Journal
of Applied Fire Science.
